Credentials Verification

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has given to MCOs the freedom to rely on podiatric certification boards to verify the credentials of certificate holders. Accordingly, the ACCPPS has implemented a program to verify the credentials held by applicants for certification. We routinely verify each applicant's professional education, postdoctoral training and professional licenses. We will provide, to any person, agency, hospital or managed care plan presenting a member's authorization to release such information, verification of the member's certification status and such proofs of the member's precertification credentials as we have obtained through our credentials verification program.
