Each holder of ACCPPS certification
is required to undergo recertification every
five years, clocked from the date of examination,
to maintain certification status. The recertification
process requires candidates to submit documentation
on ten surgical cases performed during the period
of certification. Candidates for recertification
must obtain favorable critique on the cases
as documented, and on a grand rounds discussion
of two of those ten cases.
